Despite the common belief that transitioning into artificial intelligence provides job security, a recent Blind survey of 1,552 professionals in India reveals a starkly different reality. Two-thirds (66%) of AI and machine learning specialists anticipate layoffs or team downsizing within the next quarter or two, putting their job anxiety on par with traditional high-risk sectors like Sales and Marketing (68%) and Product/Design (65%). In contrast, traditional software engineers report feeling considerably more secure in their positions.
