The North Central Railway department has taken an initiative of installing solar panels on the roof of the trains in order to generate clean energy that can be used to power the lights, fans, charging ports, etc in the trains. This has been implemented in 2 trains for now to experiment the efficiency of it and authorities have confirmed that once the trials are over, this plan would then be implemented to all trains in India.
